CITIZENS COMPASS —IN compliance with the State’s Fiscal Responsibility Law, 2020 (amended version), the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has presented the 2024-2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) for consideration and approval to the Ogun State House of Assembly (OGHA).
The Governor, represented by the Special Adviser, Budget and Planning, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan, who led the Permanent Secretary and other management staff to the Assembly Complex in Abeokuta, informed that through the MTEF, the State is able to assess its fiscal capacity, prioritise programmes and projects, and make informed decisions on resource allocation.
The Governor further added that the Law provides that the MTEF be laid before the Ogun State House of Assembly for necessary consideration after due consultation with the Executive Council, while the Assembly is expected to consider and approve the MTEF within the stipulated time in line with the State`s Fiscal Responsibility Law, 2020 (as amended).
