THE Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), has put the real age of the boy at the center of alleged organ harvesting in the United Kingdom at 21.
Isah Jere Idris, Comptroller-General of NIS disclosed this to newsmen in an online meeting.
Recall that the boy, Nwamini David Ukpo, was at the centre of the alleged kidney transplant saga involving former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice.
Idris said the passport was actually issued by the organisation with the due process followed to the letter and with the date of birth of Nwamini as October 12, 2000, meaning he is now 21 years old.
This is contrary to Nwamini’s claim before the British Police that he is a 15-year-old which led to the arrest of Ekweremadu and his wife.
According to him, the passport was issued in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on November 2, 2021.
