…Bride obtains ₦10.4m loan for wedding preparation
CITIZENS COMPASS– A bride-to-be has been left heartbroken following the cancelation of her wedding on the D-Day by the would-be groom.
The would-be groom added salt to her injuries by posting eight vacation pictures with another woman.
The bride-to-be said she has incurred a debt to the tune of R120,000 an equivalent of ₦10.4m towards the wedding preparations.
She claimed to have obtained the money as a loan.
A lady has been left deeply heartbroken after her fiancé called off their wedding on the very day it was supposed to take place.
This painful decision came after she had borrowed a large sum of money—₦10.4 million (around R120,000)—to cover the wedding expenses, based on an agreement that he would help pay it back over time.
Speaking anonymously, the lady shared her emotional story:
“Hi Auntie Momoza. Please keep me anonymous. I took a R120k loan to prepare for our wedding because my man said he’d repay it monthly. On the day of our wedding, my man decided he doesn’t want to get married anymore. He started posting pictures of him and a young girl on a vacation in Cape Town.”
She expressed how crushed and humiliated she felt, especially after all they had been through as a couple. She revealed that she had cheated on him three years ago and had a child with another man. Despite that, they had chosen to stay together, talked through the situation, and even went for relationship counseling.
“I have never been so devastated. I cheated on him three years ago and had a baby with another guy. We spoke and prayed about it. We even attended relationship counselling together. We both agreed satan used me and we defeated him by sticking together. I have a feeling he faked the forgiveness. That’s why he decided to humiliate me in front of my family, friends and colleagues. I will never forgive him,” she wrote.
The lady’s story has sparked strong reactions online, with many sympathizing with her emotional and financial pain after being left at such a vulnerable moment.
