Yoruba Indigenes Foundation preaches forgiveness, giving at Easter

CITIZENS COMPASS– The Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF) on Sunday, charged Christian faithful to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and unity.

The Foundation said aside from the celebration, they should explore giving and spirited sacrifices as done by Christ.

Sanjo Olawuyi, YIF Director of Communications and Strategies, on behalf of his President, Dr Olumide Aderibole Philips, in a statement said Easter is an age long tradition that is worthy of emulation.

He said, “Easter, an age long vibrant tradition in the Christian world which stands for the empirical exploration of the Biblical ideas of forgiveness, giving and public spirited sacrifice.

“Today is not only for togetherness. It is principally for celebrating the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“To this end; the Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF) felicitates with all Yoruba Christians, home and in diaspora.

“Easter; a vibrant celebration of the victory of Jesus Christ over death, and the affirmation of the promise of eternal life, for Christ followers.

“The Yoruba Indigenes Foundation associates with the fact that Easter season is a hopeful season, so let us be hopeful on the Nigeria Project.

Christ is risen, He is risen indeed.”
