“A father indeed”, Tope Alabi’s daughter eulogises stepfather

…Biological father absent at wedding

CITIZENS COMPASS– Ayomikun, the daughter of the popular Gospel artist, Tope Alabi, has eulogised his stepfather, Soji Alabi, for his efforts in her life so far.

This has sparked emotions from many Nigerians as her biological father was conspicuously absent at her wedding.

Her recent tribute to the stepfather appreciated him for standing in the gap for her at all times.

She described him as “a father indeed” and declared her love for him, emphasizing his unwavering presence in her life. This sentiment resonated strongly with many of her followers, who flooded the comment section with words of appreciation and prayers for her stepfather.

tinulicious_foods became emotional, writing, “This made me teary… Uncle Soji, may you reap the fruits of your labor. May your life be long in Jesus’ name.” Similarly, @seunadejumobi recalled moments that showcased their strong bond, saying, “I remember while we were on set, Daddy came all the way to check on his baby girl.”

Another user, @wonderland2240, highlighted the importance of Ayomiku’s own willingness to accept Soji Alabi as her father, commenting, “This made me so teary. Thank you, Ayomiku, for cooperating with him to father you.”

Others simply expressed admiration for the stepfather’s role, with @davidsseed1 writing, “Thank you Daddy @officialpopesojialabi, for being a great father to us all,” while @aderolake_daughtozi added, “Now you wanna make me cry. Thank you, Daddy, for your unconditional love. God bless and keep you.”

Interestingly, despite the history surrounding her biological father, very few people addressed his absence in Ayomiku’s tribute. Only @claraodeyemi subtly referenced the situation, jokingly stating, “I hope the biological father won’t come out one day when you ‘blow’ to say, ‘oko idi mi ni mo fi bi’”—suggesting that he might resurface in the future to claim recognition.

Overall, the overwhelming response focused on celebrating Soji Alabi as a devoted father figure. The lack of discussion about her biological father suggests that, in the eyes of many, fatherhood is defined not by blood but by love, care, and consistent presence.
