CITIZENS COMPASS– President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday, met with members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, over its lingering crisis which started on January 13, 2025.
The meeting was held in Abuja.
Present were the reinstated Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, his deputy, Mojisola Meranda and other lawmakers in the House.
The Assembly members arrived at the Presidential Villa in Abuja at about 2 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting was not disclosed to journalists.
Obasa was impeached on January 13 over allegations of financial misappropriation and high-handedness. His deputy, Mojisola Meranda, was voted as speaker to replace him.
However, Obasa has returned to his position and dragged the Assembly to court.
From the look of the group photographs, the reinstated Obasa seems to be silent over the outcome of the meeting.
