CITIZENS COMPASS– A Spain-based cleric, Pastor Godwin Enogharu of Victory Christian Church, Torrejon De Ardoz, Madrid, on Sunday, disclosed some of the reasons many people don’t get answers to their prayers.
The cleric disclosed this during his sermon at the church auditorium saying the inability to pray for people around us is one of the reasons for unanswered prayers.
He urged people to cultivate the habit of praying for others in an earnest way.
The special service was the grand finale of a four-week prayer and fasting period which kicked off sonce the first Sunday in February 2025 as organised by the Church.
Quoting from Psalms 115:16 and James 5:16, he said selfishness should not be entertained during prayers as people who pray for the success of others, are indirectly praying for themselves.
He advised people to pray without season so that the Devil does not have a chance.
According to Pastor Enogharu, “Prayers should be handled earnestly (coming from the heart) because this will touch the heart of God.
“Such prayers go with power, special grace and anointing.
However, how you pray depends on who you are.
Always remember that you are God’s temple which means sicknesses, pain and diseases are from the Devil.”
The cleric said the Church has dedicated all the Sundays in the month of February and first Sunday in March to intercede for church members and their families.
