CITIZENS COMPASS – The Nigeria Police Force said it has restored the security aides withdrawn from the Lagos House of Assembly Speaker, Mojisola Meranda.
The Command said the withdrawal was part of a routine audit and not motivated by any ulterior motive.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Moshood Jimoh, made the clarification on Thursday, during a media briefing at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja.
Earlier, all security aides, including police officers assigned to Meranda, were withdrawn, raising concerns about her safety.
Similarly, the security aides attached to former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa were swiftly restored following his return to office.
