CITIZENS COMPASS– The Magistrate Court sitting in Sabo, Yaba area of Lagos State, on Tuesday, cleared popular music promoters,
Abdulazeez Fashola popularly also known as Naira Marle and Samson Balogun Eletu also known as Sam Larry following the death of popular singer, Aloba Oladimeji lleriOluwa also known as Mohbad.
Recall that Mohbad died in September 2023 under a controversial circumstance.
Also cleared alongside the music promoters was Owodunni Ibrahim also known as Primeboy and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.
Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, following legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), stated that the trio have no case to answer.
However, the DPP announced plans to prosecute the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and one of Mohbad’s friends, Ayobami Sadiq, for reckless and negligent acts under Section 251(e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
