Group mourns Alaperu of Iperu-Remo

 

CITIZENS COMPASS –The Giwa, Otunba Abiodun Onanuga and the entire members of Egbe Bobakeye Okunrin Akile Ijebu worldwide have commiserate with the people of Iperu-Remo on the passage of Oba Adeleke Idowu-Basibo who joined his ancestors on Thursday.

They disclosed this in a statement signed on Sunday, by Prince Bunmi Mebude (BADA), Director of Publicity and strategic communications.

Oba Adeleke Idowu-Basibo, born on March 13, 1957, was the 21st Alaperu of Iperu and the 5th Prince from the Odoru Ruling House to ascend the throne of Akesan-Odoru.

He ascended the throne of his forefathers on March 30, 2002.

Oba Adeleke Idowu-Basibo was a very active and distinguished member of Egbe Bobakeye Okunrin Akile Ijebu.

He was one of the 9 Royal Fathers in Egbe.

He was a great man of peace and grace who carried himself with dignity and saw to the well-being of his people at all times as he brought great progress to Iperu land during his reign.

“We take solace in the fact that Kabiyesi has gone to rest after fulfilling his earthly mission.

“He was very much affectionate among his Bobakeye members and held in high esteem by members of the Egbe.

“Our sincere condolence goes to his children and family

“He will be greatly missed by all. ”
