Pastor’s wife curses church members for not presenting birthday gifts
…says “God punish you”
CITIZENS COMPASS –The wife of a pastor of a new generation church has reportedly rained curses on her church members for not presenting her gifts on her birthday.
Her outburst was said to have taken place during a church service as she expressed displeasure at the attitude of the church members.
A viral video captured the pastor raining curses while on the pulpit.
The clip, shared by user Naija_PR on X Handle formerly known as Twitter, captured the pastor passionately condemning the congregation for failing to present birthday gifts to her despite their being present at the birthday service.
She said, “You, have the wisdom of the world. May God punish you because you are wicked,” raising her voice with each word. “When I stand here, I preach, some of you come to my office, disturb me with prayers, yet you refuse to contribute!”
“Some of you gave nothing and you eat like a pig and even take away. I will say it, if you are angry, change.
“When I know that you are struggling, I give you the little that I have. I give because I’m sure that I’m a kingdom citizen.
“It’s not about the money, it’s about your heart.”
The video has attracted reactions from online communities among those who responded are @ONYE__Dot, remarked, “This is one of the major reasons why a lot of people are no longer going to church, especially the young generation. These pastors have made themselves God before the members.” Another commenter, @SamuelIse3, shared a similar sentiment, pointing out the “entitlement” displayed by the pastor. “Can you see the man over there moving himself like a robot? Actually, don’t blame her, I blame the people who will still return to that church the following Sunday,” they said.
Other comments reflected amusement at the pastor’s choice of words, particularly when she invoked a strong phrase. @Reyex49 humorously noted, “This video must have been recorded in Ghana. The guy who exclaimed ‘eei’ when she said ‘May God punish you’ really cracked me up. Only Ghana do that thing.”
Meanwhile, some users expressed sympathy for the churchgoers, with @gabriel_bolatit lamenting, “I pity the members, they have entered one chance vehicle.”
