Fayoade visits Oba of Lagos, reiterates commitment to crime fighting

 

CITIZENS COMPASS–The Assistant Inspector General of Police(AIG), in-charge of Zone 2 Command, AIG Fayoade Adegoke, mni, psc has paid a courtesy visit to Alayeluwa Oba Rilwan Osuolale Babatunde Aremu Akiolu (The Oba of Lagos) at the Iga Idunganran Palace, Lagos Island.

He visited the monarch on Thursday October 3, 2024 to receive his blessings and fatherly advice, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

The AIG was received at the palace by the Oba in company of the White Cap Chiefs. During the visit which lasted an hour, the Lagos Monarch applauded the AIG for his patriotism and unwavering commitment to serving the nation and humanity.

Oba Akiolu, while commending AIG Adegoke confessed to have followed the AIG’S career path since he was Divisional Police Officer Bar Beach Police Station, and appreciates him for being an exceptionally seasoned, devoted, incorruptible, disciplined and proactive Police Officer.

In his speech of gratitude for support during his tenure as CP Lagos, the AIG reiterates his commitment to crime fighting, respect for the rule of law and community engagement in policing thereby promising to maintain the same approach as he plays his supervisory role in both commands.

Zone 2 Command comprises Lagos and Ogun States.
