CITIZENS COMPASS–Operatives of the Department of the State Service, (DSS), on Monday, arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC), Joe Ajaero.
It was gathered that he was arrested in the morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Reports said the NLC President was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom (UK), for an official assignment when DSS picked him up.
At press time, details and reasons for the arrest were still sketchy but sources said he has been handed over to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
According to sources, Ajaero was billed to attend the conference of Trade Union Congress (TUC), which is to be held in the UK on Monday.
