in Canada says it has commenced probing a Nigerian woman based in Canada, Amaka Sunnberger, for threatening to poison Nigerians of Yoruba and Benin extractions.
A representative of the Toronto Police Service, Sergeant Bassey Osagie, said investigation had begun into the matter concerning Amaka Sunnberge.
“This incident has been reported to the Toronto Police Service and is currently under investigation,” he said.
Citizens Compass reported that the House of Representatives and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission had petitioned the Canadian authorities, demanding an investigation and prosecution of Amaka Sunnberge.
Reacting to the video, the House of Reps, in a letter to the Canadian government, requested that Amaka Sunnberger be prosecuted.
The letter, addressed to the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Jamie Christoff, said Amaka Sunnberger’s inflammatory statements constituted a direct threat to Nigerians.
The letter partly reads, “In the light of the seriousness of these violations, we respectfully request the following actions: Investigation: an immediate and thorough investigation should be conducted into Ms. Sunberger’s actions by Canadian law enforcement and appropriate authorities.”
Reacting to the letter, Amaka Sunnberger, in another video, dismissed the request for her arrest, saying that she held a Canadian passport.
Amaka Sunnberge said, “Somebody just sends me a message, say them arrest me, say them wan deport me, with passport? I be Canada pikin.
“See am now, I dey house, why I go dey lie?”
Citizens Compass reported that Amaka Sunnberger ecently threatened to poison Yorubas and Benin extradition.
Amaka disclosed this in a Pidgin Language during a live meeting on Tiktok which took place on Tuesday.
Amaka Sunnberge said: “Record me very well; it’s time to start poisoning the Yoruba and the Benin. Put poison for all una food for work. Put poison for una water, make una dey kpai one by one”.
Amaka Sunnberge, who claimed to be a resident of Ontario, Canada, vowed to take poisonous substances to her workplace and harm any Yoruba or Benin person she came across.
Addressing co-Tiktokers at the meeting, Amaka Sunnberge said her comments were in response to the hate speech against the Igbo.
According to Amaka Sunnberge, “I wan make Ndi Igbo get that heart of wickedness. Una too dey quiet.
Enough is enough! If you have any means of kpaing them, kpai them commot for road.”
Reacting to the trending video on Wednesday, Dabiri-Erewa, identified Amaka Sunnberge as Amaka Patience Sunnberger.
She said, “This is the picture of the lady behind the voice. Amaka Patience Sunnberger.
“She has deleted her TikTok account, and a group of Nigerians in Canada are reporting her officially to the relevant authorities in Canada.”
