Family announces burial plans for former ThisDay sub-editor, Olaolu Olusina

CITIZENS COMPASS—The family of the former sub-editor of ThisDay and Publisher of an online publication, Auto Report Africa, Mr Olaolu Olusina, has announced his burial plans.
He will be buried in his hometown, Imodi, via Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, on August 15, 2024. Adeolu died on Sunday, July 21, 2024, after a protracted illness.
In a burial programme announced by his family, the Service of Songs for the Late Olaolu Olusina will be held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) City of Refuge Zonal Headquarters located at 10 Honourable Duru Street, Beachland Estate, Arepo, Ogun State at 4p.m on August 13, 2024.
The final burial service will be held at Saint Mathew Anglican Church, Imodi via Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, at 10a.m on August 15, 2024. Olaolu Olusina is survived by his widow and four children.
Olusina was a foremost journalist with a strong track record. He made landmark achievements in the profession working with the defunct National Concord Newspaper, and Insider Weekly Magazine, and was a pioneer staff member of the iconic ThisDay Newspaper in Lagos.
The former journalist was the former title editor of The Will Newspaper.
He was also a Weekend Editor at the defunct Union Newspaper for many years before he moved to The Will Newspaper where he also served as the Editor till this year. He is a member of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, ( NGE).
He pulled out of The Will recently to concentrate on his new publication, Auto Report Africa Online Magazine and Newspaper.
Olusina was an active member of the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association of Nigeria (NAJA), a professional forum for motoring journalists where he was an active member.
In a statement issued by the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) through its Chairman, Mike Ochonmahip, the group said “We are deeply pained about the untimely death of Olaolu Olusina.
During his lifetime, he was a thoroughbred media professional who made his marks covering various beats and edited many titles. He was a star in the journalism profession”.
“He was, calm, kind, generous, and above all professional in the journalism profession. He will surely be missed by all of us at the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association”. He said.
