CITIZENS COMPASS – Many worshippers were feared dead on Sunday, May 26, 2024 in Lagos State when a mosque collapsed on them.
The incident occurred in the Papa Ajao area of the State during a prayer session in the afternoon.
Many of the worshippers were said to be injured in the process.
At press time, the total number of casualties or fatalities could not be ascertained but emergency responders were said to be on ground.
As at the time of filing this report, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu did not respond to calls by Citizens Compass.
