CITIZENS COMPASS —The body of the former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu , on Friday, January 5, 2024, arrived Nigeria from Germany where he was certified dead.
The plane conveying the body arrived at about 3:39 p.m for onward depo at the morgue.
Family members, followers, friends, and associates could not control their emotions as the body of the late Governor was being lowered from the plane.
His remains have been deposited at the morgue until the final burial.
Burial plans have not been announced.
Akeredolu’s son, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (Junior), said his father was diagnosed of prostate cancer and had been receiving treatment before he passed on.
He confirmed that his father died in Germany.
