Mother of ‘Mummy calm down’ commits suicide
CITIZENS COMPASS —Mrs. Toluige Olokobi Babalola, a mother of three, whose son went viral three years ago, for screaming “Mummy c1alm down” repeatedly, has reportedly died of suicide in Benin, Edo State capital.
This was disclosed by an X user whose handle is Samuel@sammydo214, said the incident occurred in the afternoon of Monday, November, 6, 2023.
According to the information, Toluige left behind a widower and three children.
The deceased was said to have taken her life without disclosing her travail.
The post reads, “The woman in the viral Mummy Calm Down video has just committed suicide here in Benin. She refused to speak to anyone about her problems. She left three kids for her husband including the popular Mummy Calm down boy.’’
It would be recalled that in 2020, a video showing the little boy frantically begging his mother after offending her went viral.
In the video, the little boy was seen crying and begging his mom to ‘calm down and rest a little’ before taking any action against him.
The then 4-year-old kid became a social media sensation after the “Mummy calm down” video went viral.
It elicited the attention of many, including Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
