CITIZENS COMPASS —A parent in Agbor, Delta State, has beaten a teacher to death at Alihame Mixed Secondary School, Agbor, for flogging his son.

The incident occurred om Wednesday, October 18, 2023. 

It was learnt that the teacher disciplined the student over his involvement in the disappearance of two kegs of palm wine in company of the father.

The student was said to have visited a palm wine shop alongside his friends after which two gallons of palm wine disappeared. 

The matter was said to be reported at the school which led to tje teacher disciplined the students unfortunately tje parents of one of the students stormed school premises in retaliation and the teacher died in the process. 

Confirming the incident on his X account formerly known as Twitter, spokesperson, Delta State Police Command, Bright Edafe described the incident as an aftermath of failed parenting, he said,”Failed parenting now turned to a murder case, 

‘’On 18th October 2023, the suspect Nnajiofor Nweke, a father of one student (name withheld) at Alihame Mixed secondary School Agbor, on the said date, his son alongside some other students went to a palm wine shop and allegedly stole two kegs of palm wine. The matter was reported to the school authorities and the students were flogged. The suspect came to the school in protest, with a cane, and started flogging teachers in the school.
