Mohbad : Prophet declares war on killers 

… radio stations bar Naira Marley's music

CITIZENS COMPASS —Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, the leader of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM) in Warri, Delta state, has raised suspicions about the demise of Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popular known as Mohbad, asserting that it was not a natural occurrence.

Prophet Jeremiah has gone further, prophesying that the spirit of the late artiste will haunt those responsible for his untimely death, emphasizing, “Mohbad’s death is not ordinary, and his spirit will trouble those who caused it until the truth emerges.” He said. 

The prophet also declared his unwavering commitment to pursuing justice for Mohbad, promising to unearth the facts behind this tragic incident.

Similarly, a popular radio station, Splash FM 105.5, Ibadan, Oyo State. has bared  the music of popular Nigerian singer, rapper and the CEO of Marlian record label, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley from being aired on their stations. . 

This means that till further notice, the station will desist from airing Naira Marley’s songs on the station. 

The decision of the radio station is coming amidst the criticism surrounding Naira Marley, following the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, popularly known as MohBad.

Recall that Mohbad died on Tuesday and was buried in Ikorodu, Lagos on Wednesday.

Hours after his death, fans and supporters of the deceased took to social media to accuse Naira Marley and music promoter, Sam Larry of being responsible for the singer’s death.

The radio station on Monday in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) showed one of the presenters at the radio station, Aderonke Adesola announcing their decision.

According to the post, Marley’s songs have been placed on “Not to Be Broadcast” on the radio frequency by the station’s management

The post read, “Good evening team. In view of the sensitive nature around the death of Mohbad and the criminal procedure the police have commenced, I will urge us all to exercise discretion.

“To this effect, Naira Marley’s songs have become NTBB (not to be broadcast) on our station till further notice. This is with immediate effect. Thank you.”

Meanwhile, Naira Marley, is experiencing a significant drop in his Instagram followers with some celebrities and individuals taking the decision to unfollow him. 

This decline coincides with swirling controversies regarding his alleged involvement in Mohbad’s untimely death.

Among the latest celebrities to unfollow Naira Marley on Instagram are Funke Akindele and Don Jazzy. Their actions add weight to the growing discontent surrounding Naira Marley’s association with the harassment of Mohbad during his lifetime.

The management of popular radio station, Fresh FM 106.9, in Ekiti, has banned the airplay of all songs under the banner of the Marlian Records label.

Fresh FM’s Head of Production and Music Content, Oluwaseunfunmi Williams, made the announcement in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday.

“Following the public outcry from the general public trialing the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (Mohbad), the alleged victimisation from different videos going viral and the involvement of members of his previous record label (Marlian records), fresh 106.9 fm has suspended the airplay of all songs and contents under the banner of Marlian Records,” the statement read.
