Area Boys obstruct MohBad’s burial process in Ikorodu

CITIZENS COMPASS —Security operatives in Lagos State, averted a major crisis on Wednesday, in Ikorodu Division, when some Area Boys threw caution into the wind and obstructed the burial proceedings of the popular singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, who died on Tuesday.
He was aged 27.
The Area Boys who tagged themselves ‘Omo Adugbo’ (Neighbourhood children) were captured in some videos which went viral on Wednesday.
They were seen obstructing the proceedings, arguing that the late singer deserves to be buried in a better location because of his celebrity status.
In some of the videos, some artists were complaining about the distruption by the youths while the artistes took to their heels to avoid any impending danger.
It was learnt that many friends of the late singer who came to pay the last respect to their colleagues were waylaid by the youths.
A background noise in one of the videos was heard shouting that the ypuths extorted N30,000 from him at venue.
Mohbad’s mother was captured explaining why his son was buried in low-key.
Family members of the singer were at the Ikorodu cemetery where the deceased was supposed to be buried.
However, some youths troooed out in their numbers to resist the proceedings on the account that his burial should not be low-keyed.
Netizens have reacted to the unnecessary drama the youths are creating.

The former Marlian record signee reportedly died on Tuesday at the age of 27.
Music executive Ovie shared the sad news on his X page #Ovieo on Tuesday evening.
“Confirmed. MohBad is dead. Sad, sad day,” he tweeted.

An old video of Bella Shmurda saying Mohbad was battling mental health issues recently resurfaced online minutes after the reported death of the singer.
Some of the popular songs of the singer include KPK, Peace, Komajesun, Pariwo, and many more.
The singer was buried amidst downpour in his family house at Gberigbe, behind Gberigbe Secondary School.
MohBad who came to limelight in 2022, was sa8d to have bought a landed property for his father unfortunately, it was yet to be developed before death came calling.
He was said to be living in Ajah area of Lagos.
The circumstances leading to hos death could not be unravelled as at press time.
In one of the videos, a woman said to be MohBad’s mother said the burial was packaged that way to prove a point to the widow.
In another video, the deceased father narrated that he was shot in his dream but unaware that it would manifest through the death of his son.
