CITIZENS COMPASS – In continuation of the Junction Improvement Works at Ikorodu Roundabout to free gridlock points and shorten travel time within the metropolis, the Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion at the Lane Inbound Ikorodu General Hospital.
A statement by Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Engr. Abdulhafiz Toriola, disclosed this on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
He said the diversion is for; the completion of the Asphalt binder course and wearing course of the new slip road from Thursday, 17th August, 2023.
“Alternative route that would be available for Motorists during the construction period is stated below;
” Traffic inbound Ikorodu General Hospital shall be diverted into the slip road, to access Hospital road from Polaris Bank, onward General Hospital.

” Motorists are implored to be patient as the lane closure is temporary and part of the traffic management plans to enhance mobility and ensure safety.*
Similarly, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Abdulkabir Adewale Shotobi has confirmed that thr 2023 Eluku Festival will occir on Saturday, Aigust 19, 2023 at 10pm till 5.30a. m on Sunday.
The festival will continue on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 same time.
High Chief Murisiku Olabanji Oreagba, the Olumale Eluku of Ikorodu confirmed this via a flier obtained by Citizens Compass on Wednesday.
He advised non indigenes of the town to stay away on those hours.
