So-Safe apprehends suspected armed robber terrorizing Ogun community
CITIZENS COMPASS – THE Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps codenamed So-Safe Corps has apprehended a suspected armed robbber, Micheal Olanrewaju, terrorising Olambe in Local Government Area of the State.
The suspect was apprehended at about 0530hrs on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
He was said to have escaped arrests on several occasions which eft injuries on law enforcement agents.
The statement is contained in a press release issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander, Moruf Yusuf.
It said the 26 years old suspect and resident of Abbattoir (Oju-irin), Lagos State popularly known as ‘Skendu’ is known for snatching and stealing of motorbikes and generating sets in Ogun State and escaped to Lagos after successfully operations.
Ganzallo noted that Skendu as popularly called was sighted by the Corps undercover Officers attached to Agbado/Oke-Aro/Ibaragun Area Command under the Assistant Commander of Corps Akeem Olaiya.
During preliminary investigation, the culprit confessed that he specializes in snatching and stealing of motorbikes and generating set in Olambe Communities and environs in Ifo Local Government Area.
The Commander noted that the suspect has been transfered to the Nigeria Police, Ajuwon Divisional Police Headquarter for further investigation and likely prosecution.
