CITIZENS COMPASS– FEMALE residents in some parts of Ikorodu are to stay indoor on Monday, May 22, 2023 following the annual tradition of the land.
This was contained in a statement by Ikorodu traditional leaders who enjoined all female residents to abide by the announcement.
The traditional leaders said this is due to the annual Oro (Magbo) Festival scheduled to hold on Monday.
They mentioned some parts of Ikorodu that the festival will be affected as Ota Ona, Ajina, Itunpate, Obun Ale, Ita Elewa, Aga, Ijomu, Ojubode, Ojogbe, Itunmaja and Ladega.
The statement reads. ‘To whom it may concern
‘ ‘Female residents in some parts of ikorodu have been asked to stay indoor on Monday may 22nd Next week Monday. By the traditional leader’s in the community, due to the annual ORO (MAGBO). Festival scheduled to hold same day. Some parts of ikorodu like, Ota Ona, Ajina, Itunpate, Obun Ale, Ita Elewa, Aga, Ijomu, Ojubode, Ojogbe, Itunmaja and Ladega.”
