CITIZENS COMPASS –Beginning from Friday, May 12 to Friday, May 2023, traffic will be diverted from. Oholonto Junction in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
The week-long diversion is to enable seamless repairs of the failed section of the road, according to Lagos State Government which disclosed this on Wednesday. May 10, 2023.
This is in line with the ongoing rehabilitation of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Corridor from Ikorodu to Stadium.
Allaying the fears of the citizenry, the Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde explained that Traffic inbound Majidun and beyond from Oba Sekumade would be diverted to Agric to make a U-turn to access their desired destinations while Traffic inbound Oba Sekumade from Agric will be diverted to Majidun to make a U-turn and continue their journeys.
He reaffirmed that the rehabilitation works will be carried out at night to minimize inconveniences for motorists, adding that Traffic Personnel will be deployed to ensure seamless movement.
