178 escape death as fire engulfs American Airlines plane at airport
CITIZENS COMPASS–178 persons have escaped death when an American Airlines Flight 1006, a Boeing 737-800 was engulfed in fire on Thursday evening.
It was traveling from Colorado Springs to Dallas-Fort Worth when it suffered engine malfunction mid-air.
The plane which was diverted to Denver at around 5:15 p.m. local time was carrying 172 passengers and six crew members.
The crew had reported engine vibrations, prompting the emergency landing, according to the Federal Aviation Administration
